Check B.P. First. If it is too high.Cap. Depin 10mg. sub lingually (puncture the capsule and squeeze the liquid contents under the tongue) x repeat S.O.S. after 15-30 mins. And refer to physician. Inj. Hydergine 2 amps slow I.V. in drip x 12 hourly or Inj. Encephabol 200 mg. lamp I.V. 8-12 hourly x 2-3 days, then oral. Inj. Trental 15ml in 250ml Normal saline x over 3 hours x 2-3 times/day if atherosclerosis.Inj. Decadron 2cc I.C 8 hourly x to reduce cerebral edema x provided BP is not too high.Do not give I.V. fluids, except if BP is low.Do not give mannitol, till cerebral hemorrhage is rued out.Clean the throat and maintain airway.A CT scan or MRI scan must be done as soon as possible. Thrombotic stroke should receive anti thrombotic treatment in I.C.U. Inj. SoluMEdrol 1gm I.V 6 hourly x doses.
